Samsung Galaxy S 2 - The Samsung Elite?

There seems to be multiple leaks when it comes to news around the Samsung Nexus S, but recently a Powerpoint presentation deck introducing the 2011 flagship phone from Samsung was leaked.  From the looks of the presentation, this new flagship phone will be set to have:
  • 4.3 or 4.5-inch Super-AMOLED (described as Super-AMOLED 2)
  • 8 MP with Auto-focus and LED flash
  • 1.2 GHz processor
  • Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)
  • 1080p video capture and playback
  • Described as a ‘universal e-book reader’
These are some amazingly good features for a smartphone.  One thing to keep an eye on is the Super AMOLED 2 technology.  What that exactly means has yet to be seen, but if the current Super AMOLED technology is as good as it is, one has to wonder how much better a sequel to that technology will be.

There's also rumors that this flagship phone will actually be the successor the the Samsung Galaxy S.  That's right, the Samsung Galaxy S 2 as it's been dubbed by rumors may very well be the next flagship phone coming from Samsung.  Another rumor is that the Samsung Galaxy S 2 will actually be called the Samsung Elite in the U.S. and the Samsung Dwarf in Europe.

The current smartphones being shown in the presentation deck are actually not pictures of the phone, rather pictures of generic smartphones that can easily be found on Google.  A bit of an amateur mistake but it doesn't stop the mind from wondering what the Samsung Galaxy S 2, or the Samsung Elite will look like.
