The Samsung Galaxy R looks very much like the Galaxy S2, except it has a 5 megapixel camera instead of an 8 megapixel camera. It is also slightly thicker than the Galaxy S2. But the Galaxy R is bigger than the original Galaxy S, rumored to come with 8 GB of internal storage and interestingly enough, dual core processors. One has to wonder if the Galaxy R will just steal sales away from the Galaxy S2 rather than its competitor, the iPhone 5.

Introducing the Samsung Galaxy R
It looks like another addition to the Galaxy line up is on its way. The Samsung Galaxy R is the in-between smartphone, better than the original Galaxy S but cheaper than the existing Galaxy S2. It seems to be a fairly bold move by Samsung to release a smartphone that's similar to the Galaxy S2, but it seems to be a good idea for capturing the market that can't afford the S2.
The current rumored release date is end of July and the Galaxy R will be available only in the UK at the moment. There is always a chance that a rebranded version may land in the U.S. For now, it looks like the Galaxy S line up will be the most expensive and powerful, the R is slightly lower powered and the rumored Q will fit in as a hybrid.
